matchflow autoscan

With matchflow Autoscan, you can tranfer Formulars for Scanning and attach them unanalysed to an SQL Database. A scan work center provides in average 3 positions for formular analyses.

Installation

Lay in the autoscan installation CD. The set-up programm starts automatically. Apart from this, you can start the data set-up.exe of the CD. Follow through the directions of the set-up programm untill the end.

Starting of the autoscan

You can start the Autoscan from the left-side of the Desktop, if  you have applied the startmenu under programm/Autoscan. Otherwise, you can start the file autoscan.exe in the installation directory.

To conduct Settings

In other to change the setting of the scan options and the target directories, you click the pushbutton "Setup". Make sure that, the indicated scanner is installated and active/on.

You have two setting options. Firstly, the selection of the scanner and the scanner settings at the top part of the Setup mask. Secondly, the setting of the target directory at the bottom part of the mask area.

(a) Scanner Settings

For a Scanner to be selected, you please click of the indication "...." pushbutton. You will obtain a selected dialogue with all installated Twain-Scanners. You can select here the specific scanner and confirm your entry with "OK".

Pay particular attention to the selected scanner so that, there is a Twain Driver installated and that the device is applicable in the system.

To configure the selected scanner, please click the "setup" pushbutton closer to the specific scanner. You obtain now the Twain settings of the indecated scanner.

Please give the selected configuration for the scanner and confirm the entries by clicking the "OK" pushbutton of the Twain setting dialogue.

(b) Memory (save) Directory Settings

You have the possiblity of specifying various indexes for the completely scanned image data. For every scan procedure, the actaul callected image data of these indicated indexes will be distributed.

For futher additional directories, click of the " Add Targetdir" pushbutton and select the specific target folder out. To delete a specific directory, select the specific directory to be deleted from the list and click the pushbutton "Remove Targetdir".

In other to adopt the executed settings without abandoning the Mask settings, you can click the pushbutton "Apply".

To save the settings and the Mask to abandone, you can click the pushbutton "save & Exit". If you want to abandone the Mask without adopting the executed settings, click the "Exit" button.

Scanning

To begin the scanning, lay the papers in the scanner-feeder and click the "scan" pushbutton in the Autoscan startmask. Now the scan process is carried out.

As soon as the layed sites are completely scanned, the scanned image data of the indicated target directories are distributed (Warning: It is possible that a pause may occure during the scanning process).

You have not given target directories,then you will find the scanned data at the bottom indication "localscan" of the Autoscan installation directions.

The Mask changes after entering the last readings in the waiting state. You could now lay-in the next pack of papers and scan or end the scan process by clicking the "cancel" pushbutton.

Troubleshooting

If an error in the scan-process occures (double copying, paper jam etc.), it will appear in a normal case by registering error signal. Please make sure that, you first of all rectify the error from the Hardware and then confirm the error signal.

The scan-process will then be proceeded normally.(confirm the error signal before correcting the error in the Hardware, so as to avoid repeated error occurence).

Warning:
The documents which the scan-error has created (probably still in the scanner transfixed) must be rescanned.
